Hi, Always have been a huge fish tank guy and wanted a pond and luckily the house that I just am moving into has a pond!
I was real excited when I saw it and surprisingly there was still 2 fish in the pond. The landlord said he doubts they've been fed in a long time and the pond was pretty gross. We cleaned it out and got the waterfall working but ran into some problems.
The UV light was leaking which caused the pond to almost completely empty. We aren't moved in yet so don't go by every day so thank god we caught it before it killed the fish. The liner inside that seals the water from coming out is broke somehow and it just leaks so I guess that'll be #1 on the to get list.
It does have a filter which I have running now just with no UV. Is this why the water is all nasty and really there is no visibility?
Thanks and look forward to learning more about ponds.
